Hello all!  A mermaid, a man and his best friend, gargoyles, a day at the beach, a family in love with each other! I so appreciate that lately, during these weird and challenging times, I have had many chances to create artwork for people that have great imaginations for unique Christmas gifts to give to their families and friends! I did all of the portraits pictured below in the last month and a half! A caricature of a girl as a mermaid drawn from a photo of the girl in a mermaid costume on a lake that her family frequents! Ordered through my Etsy shop. A caricature of a man and his dog ordered through my Etsy shop. A caricature of a fun-loving couple as gargoyles, (which is a memento of a specific event special to them) also ordered through my Etsy shop! A caricature portrait of her family requested by my friend!   A graphite drawing of the photo below! Have a great New Years!  

Here are some samples, that I drew from looking at faces in google search. I think I typed in "faces of Diversity".  I included these "practice" caricatures in my Etsy Shop as samples for custom orders. Valentines Day is coming and I like to offer my custom work as possible gifts for any specific holiday coming up! Here is a silhouette item I'm offering: Hand-cut Silhouettes in a hand-cut border! And yes, it's Mandala Monday. So here is my favorite video on making mandalas! It shows how to keep track of the marks you make, and encourages you to turn the paper to make marks in a circular pattern. It's a very user -friendly video and specifically designed for beginners! My son Adam,  a creative and innovative musician among many other things! I did this just for fun! Just a sketch in my sketch book! A sketch for my latest Etsy order. The final! Regretably there's a shadow on this picture, that I took with my camera. But don't worry. The clients got the original! The photo I worked from for the Caricatures above! My granddaughter-Bailey Butterfly! I did  a little face painting at the Ayyam-i-ha Party at Green Acre Baha'i School today!

What a way to start a new year! Moving to a new house! Actually now the only things left to move now is in the garage at the old place, which is full of stuff! Stuff and more stuff, left over from many yard sales, kids moving in and out, old things we intended to take to the dump but didn't, and assorted items that outgrew the house! Moving from a four floor (including a basement) apartment that we've been in for fifteen years to a four room bungalow/cottage is not an easy thing!
