Here is my newest submission to Illustration Friday. The theme this week is "Fairies". This is an illustration I did quite a few years ago just for fun, but I think this is the first time I've posted this piece online.

 I find that occasionally doing an art challenge like Illustration Friday gets my creative juices flowing and allows me to move forward in my illustrative abilities. Still growing as an artist even in my sixties! And fairies will never go out of style! These fairies are taking a tea time break from all their fairy work!

I'm still cleaning out my portfolios and I recently found a booklet I illustrated once about Religion in the USA. I was living in Connecticut at the time. It was entitled Religion USA and was produced by a company called Happy History, Inc. It's goal was to celebrate the diversity of religions that were present in the area at that time. These are some of the religious symbols I was asked to draw for the book. I thought it would be fun to share these during the Holiday season. I was asked to draw this as a symbol of the Baha'i concepts on the Oneness of Religion. Kamal's Day and Babysitter Blues make great gifts!

SO grateful that I have two books that I've written and illustrated available on line NOW!  A picture book for the young ones and a chapter book for older readers!
